Required Qualifications:
Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to travel to project sites as required.
Bachelor’s degree in Archaeology, Anthropology, or related field preferred (relevant field experience may substitute for degree in some cases).
Prior archaeological field experience (CRM projects, academic field schools, or research excavations) is preferred.
Familiarity with archaeological field methods, artifact identification, and provenience recording.
Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain accurate records.
Physical ability to conduct fieldwork, including lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs., digging, and working in varied outdoor conditions.
Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

Position Summary:
A Field Technician is responsible for assisting with archaeological field investigations, generally Phase II and III field excavations, with occasional Phase I pedestrian surveys under the supervision of senior staff. Field Technicians collect data, recover artifacts, and record provenience information in accordance with professional archaeological standards and project-specific guidelines. This position is vital to ensuring accurate documentation of cultural resources for compliance and research purposes.
